Navy Tweed

March 03, 2017

The weather has been somewhat unusual this winter in the Northeast, which makes getting dressed slightly more challenging for those (like me) who are not in the habit of checking the forecast when they wake up in the morning.

A Spring piece that I am eager to break in (and out) is this J. Crew Lady Jacket with Liberty® Trim, which is maybe the last (in a while) J. Crew item that I bought at full price. I was at first skeptical of the floral trim, which could have (very easily) been done poorly, but this little jacket pleasantly surprised me. I intend to feature it again with jeans in a future post, but it's one of those tasteful statement pieces that will give flavor to basic outfits.

Also featured in this post is the J. Crew Fringy Tweed Sheath Dress, which is on a fairly decent sale right now in three colors (and it's currently an extra 30% off with code ADDTOBAG; the sale section is worth browsing right now, with further markdowns and the additional discount). The dress fits similarly to the long-sleeved version released last year, which fit snugly in the torso (so size up if you are more top heavy).
J. Crew Lady Jacket with Liberty® Trim (00P) || J. Crew Fringy Tweed Sheath Dress (00P) || Saint Laurent Small Sac De Jour (also here) || Michael Kors Runway Watch || Ann Taylor Mila Leather Pumps
Also on sale are the Ann Taylor Mila Leather Pumps (shown in this post), my go-to work pumps, which I own in a few colors. The Friends of Ann Event will run until next Tuesday 03/07/17 at 3 AM EST, and the code FREINDS40 will take 40% off your entire purchase.

Happy shopping, and have a great weekend!
