Camel + Leopard

November 08, 2016

I loathed wearing turtlenecks as a kid, and would actively try to destroy the ones in my closet when the weather cools down every fall to avoid having to wear them.

As an adult, though, I love turtlenecks. They are perfect for wearing ornate necklaces with: you get all of the sparkles without having to contend with cold beads brushing up against delicate skin around the décolletage. And since its "comeback" last fall, the myriad of choices available now ensures a high likelihood of your finding something flattering.
J. Crew Icon Trench in Wool-Cashmere in Heather Acorn (Size 000P) || Kate Spade Olive Drive Brigette Bow Tote Bag in Mahogany (also here) || Ann Taylor Pearlized Crystal Statement Necklace || Ann Taylor Turtleneck Tunic in Light Desert Camel (Size XXSP) || Ann Taylor Maven Leopard Jacquard Ankle Pants (past season) || Zara Court Shoes (past season)
I want to highlight a few closet favorites that are currently on sale (and featured in this post): the classic J. Crew Icon Trench Coat in Wool-Cashmere (reviewed here) is 25% off with code SHOPNOW (J. Crew cardholders can use code SHOPCARD for 30% off; shipping is free on all orders)—I already own this in two colors, but the light gray on offer this season is pretty irresistible; and the Ann Taylor Turtleneck Tunic is on sale in all colors (with an extra 40% off online, no code needed).

A few more picks for the J. Crew's store-wide sale: Pleated Ponte Dress (ordered!), Double-Breasted Topcoat in Wool-Cashmere, Italian Cashmere Waffle Sweater with Buttons, Résumé Dress (reviewed here), and No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double-Serge Wool.
