Minted

"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." - Edgar Degas
Fine art can personalize a space in an instant, and reveals more about the dweller than even decorative/craft art. The last item I hung on my wall was an oversized print of Kate Moss in a Burberry ad, when I was still in college. And the only other piece of visual art that I own is a print of a Michael Parkes's "Dream for Rosa," bought two years ago, and I still haven't found a suitable place for it on my wall.

As though choosing a design isn't difficult enough, factor in that online purveyors of art prints are often inconsistent in quality, the choice can seem dizzying. I would shop for prints offline but the possibilities online are far more attractive and numerous.

I'm excited to collaborate with Minted, an online marketplace that connects its extensive network of artists and designers with art lovers and crowdsources its pieces, to share a few of the designs it offers.
With a lot of help in selection, I ordered prints of Malibu Surf and Sky II (a piece that everyone who lives in places with harsh winters can appreciate; it might qualify as part of a treatment plan for SAD) and Winter Woods, which has a storybook quality to it that makes it warm and inviting.

The prints and the frames were all excellent in quality; the material used are first-rate and the printing standards are high. I order stationery for a few clubs that I am involved in and am contemplating a switch to Minted because of how I impressed I was with the printing quality.

If you are an artist or designer, I would encourage you to submit your work to Minted's ongoing design challenge.
