The summer is my favorite season to travel (ok, it's also my favorite season for everything). And when planning for a trip, be it a weekend jaunt or a week-long stay, one of my priorities is traveling light; there's something intensely satisfying and freeing about living out of a bag.

I am usually able to create about 15-20 distinct looks from between 10-12 pieces (excluding accessories), all of which normally fit in a large tote or duffel bag.

I'll be sharing a few more packing combinations for shorter trips in the coming weeks using both older pieces from and new additions to my closet.

    1. I am so glad you like these posts, Angel. :)

  5. That dress is awesome! I am with you on packing light! I have a trip home soon, so packing clothes should be easy since no heavy/layering clothes are necessary this time of year. When I pack, I usually start by planning based on the question "Do I want to wear silver or gold accented accessories?". So basically my shoes, belts, purses, and jewelry all have to be matching metals. Maybe that is getting a little carried away, but I like my metals to match.

    1. Haha my process is similar! In fact, in the next installment of that 30 outfits in a bag series, I talk about accessories. They are so important to adding variety to the mix. :)
