Turn Back Time Scenic Print Midi Skirt

June 03, 2014

A clear Rubbermaid storage container holds a number of items I struggle to part with; in it was this formerly prized LOFT cami that hasn't seen the light of day in a few years. There's a metaphor about old love somewhere in there.

The skirt featured in this post photographs beautifully and is striking from a distance in person but the colors are lurid up close. It's also covered in a garish sheen that detracts from its practicality. Definitely not something for the self-effacing.

  2. That skirt is very eye catching! It looks like a painting! Yeah...I've been learning there are clothes that look good on camera for photographs but not so wearable in real life. But your skirt is definitely blog-worthy :)

    1. Yes, bright colors tend to photograph well whereas their neutral cousins tend to wash out in pictures. I try not to let "blog-ability" affect my decision to feature something as my life simply doesn't unfold in pictures. ;)

p.s. how was your SF trip? I hope my packing list was at least a little bit helpful. I actually started planning a series (on packing) recently because of you. :)
