30 Outfits in a Bag: Navy Blazer

June 17, 2014

Few jackets receive as much attention from me as this J. Crew blazer does. I wear it almost weekly and make an effort to pack it for every trip, business or leisure. It's dressy enough for my job but is not so formal that precludes it from being in regular rotation on the weekends.
J. Crew Classic Schoolboy Blazer | LOFT Rosette Halter Cami | J. Crew No. 2 Skirt in Double-serge Wool | Prada Saffiano Lux Tote | Miu Miu Taupe Pumps (similar)
J. Crew recently restocked this style in all three lengths (petite, regular, and tall); with code SHOPNOW, the jacket is about $70 before taxes and shipping.

For styling ideas, here are examples of how I've worn this jacket in the past.

  2. I just went out and bought a navy blazer (Zara) because you look so great in yours. I'll be taking it with me on my month-long London work trip this Friday. Loving this 30 outfits series =)

    1. Enjoy your work trip! I hope you find lots of downtime to explore London. :)

  3. Thanks for this post! I had been eying this blazer for months now, waiting for it to fall into the right price point. Had stopped checking and would have missed it without this post. Super excited :)

    1. I am sure you will love it! It's one of my best purchases ever and one I've never regretted. :)

  4. what size is your blazer?

    1. Hi Cherie,

It's size 00R in the "classic" cut.

  5. I got this blazer in navy and black and I wear them both on a nearly-embarrassing regular basis. Now I'm stalking J.Crew for when they get some other colors in. I agree with you; it never feels too stuffy to wear it with jeans on the weekend, but then it's good for work, too. It's not the most exciting piece to have in one's closet, but it always just works.

Now you have me wanting a yellow pencil skirt to pair it with....

  6. really good post.
