Hunter Green & Radiant Orchid

What more can I say about this skirt? The color is cheery and the shape flattering. I have worn things for lesser reasons.

I finally broke away from neutral colors (gray / black), which I consider a vast improvement.

May has been a fairly uneventful shopping month (intentionally so; I was recently reunited with an old expensive habit which added constraints to my budget) but summer arrivals are again testing my resolve.

Get 40% off your Gap purchase with code TREAT. My picks: Pleated Shirtdress, Denim Circle Skirt, Raw-hem Fit & Flare Dress, Western Denim Shirt, Boyfriend Roll-up Shorts, Stripe Floppy Straw Hat, and Border Stripe Floppy Straw Hat (but has bad review).

Banana Republic is also running a 40% off sale; use code BRWISH40 at checkout. My picks: Sailor Short, Embroidered Top, Bold Stripe Cotton/Linen Shirtdress, Eyelet Fit-and-Flare Dress, Navy Knit Patio Dress, and  Textured Drop-Waist Dress.

Happy shopping!

how high are you wearing the skirt on your body? it looks pretty long in the stock photo (on someone who I assume is taller than us-- i am only 5'3''). it is a great length and look on you.

p.s. since you mentioned it, you've sparked my curiosity about the old expensive habit. is it fashion related?
    missed your posts :)

    1. Hi there!

The skirt is folded down at the waist by a few inches. The original length isn't prohibitively long for women of our height but I do like having the option of temporarily shortening the length.

As for my other vice, it's not fashion related. It's...Legos (I know...I really should pursue a more "grown up" hobby). For some reason I can't seem to find a cheaper hobby to occupy my time with, even innocuous ones like poker become expensive. ;)

  3. Your hair looks gorgeous! Love the lace top under the sweater. I purchased a lace top years ago that does not get enough use...you are giving me ideas. :)

    1. Hi Sarah,

Sorry about the delay. I think BRWISH40 expired at midnight on the day the post went live. What are you looking to purchase? I'll keep my eyes peeled for a code. :)
