= Fast Food & Fast Fashion | a personal style blog: Buffalo Check (+ Clutch on Chain)

Buffalo Check (+ Clutch on Chain)

I've worn denim on denim with a print before and consider it a fairly reliable formula for casual wear. While everything about the combination is slightly trendy, denim is a great equalizer.
Zara Coat with Gathered Shoulder and Metallic Buttons | Zara Checked Sweatshirt (similar) | H&M Denim Shirt | Forever 21 Classic Midsize  Faux Leather Clutch with Zara Chain Belt | Gap 1969 Sexy Boyfriend Jeans | Zara Court Shoes (similar)
And in my ongoing effort to strap-ify wallets and clutches that are limited in versatility (remember when I added a chain to my wallet?), I've decided to add chains to inexpensive clutches (this process exploits shoddy workmanship) I've picked up in the last year. This method seems to work well and utilizes excess lobster clasps from my last project.
I'll let these pictures illustrate the process; if they are unclear, leave a comment below and I'll expound further (or add additional pictures where they are appropriate).
For Gap Inc. fans, use code MARCH for discounts at Gap divisions: 35% off at the Gap and Banana Republic, 30% off at Old Navy, and 20% at Piperlime. Cardholders get 40% off at the Gap and Banana Republic and 35% off at Old Navy.

My picks: Basketweave Fluted Skirt, Short Trench, Bronze Floral Jacquard Full Skirt, Wrap-Front Jersey Tops, Seamed Fit-and-Flare Dress, Fit & Flare Jersey Dresses, and Floral Shirtdress.

Happy shopping!

  7. I've turned down many cute clutches because they didn't come with straps. I wish I was more motivated to try to add straps myself. But I'm keeping your trick in my sleeves just in case :) I love this buffalo plaid and jean on jeans look, the result is perfection!
