Bronze Rose

March 24, 2014

I thought my cheap thrill days were behind me but some habits die hard. While this pale pink lace skirt adds neither substance nor nuance to my wardrobe, I, against better judgment, decided to keep it.
Forever 21 Romantic Lace Midi Skirt (sold out online but still in stores) | Zara Cable-Knit Sweater | Ann Taylor Tweed Clutch (last worn here) | Kate Spade New York Licorice Metallic Leather Pump
And I am surprised this Tweed Clutch survived the additional 70% off sale (from earlier this month). My taste is perhaps not as generic as I think. For those of you contemplating this purchase, with the exception of some difficulty opening/closing the clutch, this is a reasonably versatile and timeless piece.
And, until midnight, take 40% off your Gap purchase with code FLASH.

I recently ordered the 1969 Destructed Boyfriend Denim Shorts and Boyfriend Roll-up Shorts

Other picks: Skinny Surplus Khaki, Printed Espadrille, Stripe Maxi Dress, Stripe V-Neck Dress (runs large according to one review), and Destructed Denim Biker Jacket.

From the kid's section: Dot Tank Dress, Slim Bermuda Shorts, Marled Swing Dress, and Stripe Peacoat.

  3. LOVE this all peachy nude with gold palette on you. I dread digging through F21 but just might have to for this skirt.

  4. do you have the sweater tucked in or pinned up here? How do you keep the hem tucked under all day? Whenever I fold my sweaters or shirts under, they never stay in that position and I really wan to figure out how to fix that.

    1. It's pinned (took about five diaper pins in all because the sweater is fairly heavy). With this many safety pins in place the hem stays firmly in place. With thinner sweaters tucking the ends into pants or skirts (and pulling a section outward) is preferable (when possible I avoid using safety pins on clothes). Hope this helps. You can e-mail me directly if you have more specific questions in mind. :)

  9. love this look, and it's so creative too, i never would have thought about pairing these pieces together. the metallic pumps really nail it. i think you'll get a lot of wear out of that skirt, it's very you.

  10. I love how matchy-matchy yet different these two pieces are! Great neutral colour palette.
