Weekly Shopping Update: 8.2.13August 02, 2013
Another week, another swarm of new arrivals. Discounts on new styles are, as expected, uninspiring. But window-shopping can be as fun as--if not more fun than--clicking the "submit order" button, right?
The Limited's fall collection is inspired by "Parisian" style but can easily be mistaken for styles found in any other major Western European capital (though the plaid jacket and Westie in the first photo are arguably more Scottish than French). I do like its no-frills approach to fall and will be keeping a close watch for better sales.
Take $10 off every $50 spent with code FASHION.

Milly, whose brand aesthetic closely mirrors my own, has a well-stocked sale section. Take 20% off already discounted styles with code MILLYTGIF.
A lot of styles are final sale so I didn't order anything for myself. Otherwise, the Isadora Bow Top would've been an uncontested choice.

I have an unhealthy attraction to all things green and for many years this irrational preoccupation was tolerated, if not abetted, by like-minded friends. Imagine my delight when J. Crew puts two exquisitely verdant pencil skirts in its fall lineup. Indecision immediately followed: which of the two should I buy and would it be greedy if I got both?
J. Crew practically made my decision for me by discounting the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Academic Green" (which went back to full price earlier this week; while we are on the topic of J. Crew's sale game, the Classic Schoolboy Blazer in Navy also went back to full price). I quickly ordered one and have no regrets. I even succeeded in enabling (the aforementioned like-minded) friends in getting it too. You are welcome, J. Crew, for all of the unsolicited business that I have brought you of my own volition.

Kate Spade's new arrivals feature many of its signature colors: pink, navy, light taupe, and black.
Use code SUM13AFF for $50 off $250+, $100 off $500, $175 off $750+, or $200 off $1000.
I think the Tabitha Jacket, Jasmine Dress, Teddy Dress, and Tayla Coat are all really gorgeous choices for fall.

Old Navy's new arrivals remind me of the Gap circa 2012. The styles are fun, if a touch sophomoric.
All styles are 20% off with code ONBIG20. This code is valid through 8/4/13.

H&M's online store has finally opened for business. The retail giant's entry into the American online shopping arena is certainly delayed (as it has been delivering empty promises of an online shopping experience since mid-2011).
Free shipping is offered until 8/15/13 with code 0549.
Take 20% off your entire purchase at ASOS with code SEVENTEEN20. I will post pictures of the Pencil Skirt in Monochrome Check, Vertical Stripe Skirt in Column Shape, and Nishe Pencil Skirt in Ombre Lace next week. I didn't get pictures of the following but the Crop Top with Cold Shoulder and Cut Out Back was too cropped (for me) and I returned the Caged Bow Back Swimsuit because it was unpadded and really transparent.

Lastly, Forever 21 has "1000 new markdowns."
I am rarely happy with items purchased on sale at Forever 21 but do feel tempted by the following: Essential Striped Chiffon Top, Floral Peplum Skirt, Nautical Button Sailor Shorts, Contrast Chiffon Romper, A-Line Combo Dress, Polka Dot Dress w/Sash, Striped Ruched Top, and Essential Eyelet Top.

p.s. I apologize for the lack of relevant pictorial reviews with these shopping updates; I expect those to return next week.
