Green Lace Skirt

February 08, 2013

I don't know what I've done to deserve such kindness from everyone but this holiday season I received some extremely beautiful gifts and thoughts from blog friends.

One of these gifts is from the endlessly talented SewPetiteGal. Back in January I unexpectedly received a package from her which I tore open immediately and found two beautiful garments - the lace skirt worn in this post and a matching lace top - inside.

Needless to say, I have not encountered a single person who did not like this skirt and I would always coyly let on (humblebrag?) that it's a one-of-a-kind piece handmade by a personal friend.

(Gifted) SewPetiteGal Lace Skirt | Soïa & Kyo Autumn Ribbed Wool Coat | C. Wonder Turtleneck Sweater | Ann Taylor Oval Pearlized Necklace | HUE tights | Boutique 9 Leather Wedge Knee-High Boots (also here and here) | Chanel Medallion Tote

S previously made me two beautiful peplum skirts (pictures here) and a cameo and pearl necklace (pictures here and here) that remain among my favorite purchases of all time.

Speaking of talented people, Ping, who recently took up sewing, shared some of her new creations in her posts here and here. I am directionless with a needle so I really enjoy looking at pictures of other people's work.

For those of you who celebrate, happy Lunar New Year!
