C. Wonder

January 20, 2013

I stumbled upon C. Wonder two weeks ago while trying to kill time before picking J up from the airport. I must have passed it a hundred times but never gave it a second glance. I was pleasantly surprised by the brand and my first visit to the store resulted in two purchases (the hunter green turtleneck and chain belt worn in this post).

C. Wonder draws heavily from successful retailers like J. Crew, Tory Burch (who is the ex-wife of C. Wonder's founder), Kate Spade, Juicy Couture, Lilly Pulitzer, Land's End, and numerous others for inspiration (my thoughts were resonated by this NYT article). It is by no means unique and is definitely not revolutionary. The quality is fair when you account for steep discounts (I bought both items on sale and with an additional 50% off promo).

Have you been to C. Wonder? What was your experience like?
