Bloomingdale's Friends & Family sale started earlier this week and will end on November 12. Use HOLIDAYFF or HOLIDAY at checkout for 20% off your entire purchase (excludes beauty). This sale is also in stores and at Bloomingdale factory stores.

Wearing a size 0

Some styles that rarely go on sale include the DvF Zarita dress (reviewed here), the Salvatore Ferragamo Vara Pumps (reviewed here) and the Varina Flats, and Longchamp Le Pliage Totes (see the large on me here).

Another dress option that I considered recently is the Black Halo Jackie O Dress (two-tone version available), which would've been a winner if I were (much) taller. The size 0, which measures 42.25" long, 12.5" across the waist, and 17.5" across the hip, falls several inches below my knee and the armholes were a bit too big.  The concept is interesting and I would eventually like to try the Jackie Mini Dress.

The Rebecca Minkoff Becky Jacket is also available - in red, with sequins, in black leather, in royal blue, in two-tone, and in yellow - on the Bloomingdale's website. I did not like how the blazer fit me as it made my shoulders look really wide. 

The size 0 measures 16" across the shoulders, 19.5" in total length, with 21.5" long sleeves.

J. Crew's sale section got a healthy update as well as some additional markdowns this morning. The extra 25% off sale is still going strong, just enter OURTREAT at checkout to see the discount (valid on purchases of $150+).

I picked up a few items not on final sale with this discount - including the Girls' Pleated Swing Skirt in Herringbone (this is marked final sale on the website but I asked J. Crew's customer support team to add a note to my order to ensure I can return this).

 The No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double-Serge Wool is currently discounted in all colors and sizes are fairly complete. You can read my review of last year's version here. If this style is too long on you, the Classic Mini in Felted Wool is a good choice.

Another fan-favorite that is also on sale is the café capri in wool, which I tried on here. These capri's are also available in herringbone, silky dot, silk scarf foulard, tweed, pop art print, safari cat print, and paisley. 

Some interesting pieces that are worth a look are the silk boy shirt in French Hen, the Sterling skirt, the Blythe blouse in silk, the Jules dress in wool, the Flair skirt in double-serge wool (reviewed here), and the lady jacket in double-serge wool (reviewed here). 

Full-priced styles can also be had for 25% off. I am still not sure that graphic sweaters are for me but I do enjoy the idea of them.

Meanwhile, Saks' Designer Sneak Peek Sale started online and in stores today. Numerous styles are marked down, including the Burberry Westland Trench (and in black), one of my favorite finds recently. Khatu also owns this beautiful trench, see it on her here and here.
