White Dress + Seersucker Blazer (And a Comparison of the J. Crew Director Dress and H&M Sheath Dress)

August 22, 2012

I went a little overboard with short sleeve sheath dresses last month and bought more than enough to last me at least one more summer. One of my favorite styles is the v-neck sheath with cap sleeves. I especially loved the J. Crew Director Dress (also in super 120)  and its H&M doppelganger. The two dresses are nearly identical in design (the H&M version is cut slimmer and longer with a deeper V in the neckline).

I am currently debating taking up the length of the white dress by an inch. As is I think the dress makes me look a little stumpier than I would like. It did satisfy my craving for a sleeved white sheath so I definitely consider it a good purchase.

Twitter friend Petiteish and Jean both looked great in the white H&M dress.

  1. The designer walked me through HOW to measure and even took off a few inches to assist with my height. I am 5'4", and 140#, they were spot on addressing all concerns!
