I didn't realize this until earlier today when I wore it out but I had trouble climbing into cabs because it's a slim fitting pencil skirt (duh) which I am sure made for some pretty entertaining moments for those who had the (mis)fortune of witnessing me try to get into the backseat of a cab.
See it on Kelly (she did a very thorough review of the skirt, including measurements and fabric content), Cher, and Ping. Also, for those of you who love colorful belts, H&M has some for only $5.95. I got the green and really wanted to get some in orange and red but there are none left in smaller sizes.

| LOL crooked belt. I need to review outfit pictures before I wear them out |

Oo you must post this in the alterations needed forum thread "item reviews" ! I just saw Kelly compiled a nice collection of fellow petites who have featured this skirt.
ReplyDeleteThe blouse is pretty...if you take it to your tailors I'm sure it would look great after some side slimming!
Love that skirt on you. It looks great on everyone. I saw that belt at H&M the other but none of XS were available :) I am glad you have found that skirt. I know it's been a while. It's great to see the same piece on different petites
ReplyDeleteSo many petites have that skirt! I have the same style, but it's solid black. I totally understand the cab situation, I have trouble walking up the stairs with it! =)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute skirt! It looks really great! And I had to giggle a little about the slim fit. I sometimes get surprised when I wear slimmer fitting skirts too! Oh, and I love the shoes! :)
ReplyDeleteI really love this skirt from the first time I saw it on Kelly. It's great that you were able to find it. I wasn't that lucky. Enjoy. (minus the cab incident. :))
ReplyDeleteIt makes your body look so long!

I've loved this skirt on everyone and you are definitely not an exception. I really love the ruffle detail on the blouse too! It's unfortunate that it's ill-fitting without something over it. Also like the green belt with the outfit!
ReplyDeletethis black skirt is so super flattering on all of you petites!! it fits you like a charm and i'm glad you decided to keep it. i actually wore a super slim fitting skirt today too and had trouble walking up the stairs! :)

I just love seeing the same items on diff petites- it's amazing to see the differences! It fits you wonderfully! Now I want it! LOL
ReplyDeletei love that lace skirt on you. it's the perfect length and i definitely know what you mean. i climbed a jungle gym once in a super tight skirt and ripped it on my way up .. x_x totally embarrassed myself in front of all the little kids.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely outfit, Elle. Very classy and romantic. I'm looking forward to my trip to San Francisco where there are 4 H&Ms. I hope I will still be able to find some of the items the petite blogging community reviewed on :).
ReplyDeleteWow this skirt is perfect on you Elle! It hits at just the right length! Now I want a skinny green belt! :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha about the cab.. I have trouble sometimes stepping up the ginormous foot high curbs where I work in pencil skirts too!
Lol! about the cab!
ReplyDeleteThe skirt fits you so well! I love the pop of color from the belt!
Wow! That skirt looks great on you! Don't you love it? And it's such nice quality for H&M. Definitely post it in the item review thread of the AN Forum!
ReplyDeleteItem Review - H&M Lace Skirt
I love this skirt! I got Jean to send it to me too. Lol. It looks great on you with that blouse!
ReplyDeleteelle-- the skirt looks so good on you!! much better on you than on me. you have much longer legs than i do. it goes pass my knee and i love how it hits above the knee for you!
ReplyDeleteThis was one of my fav H&M items recently, but there's never any in my size at my H&M's. As for getting into cars in tight skirts, I usually park my butt on the seat first and then pull my legs over and in lol.
ReplyDeleteThe visual from your cab incident is quite amusing!! This skirt looks amazing on you though and I love the blouse you chose to pair it with! (Can't tell it's too big when it's tucked in at all ;)
